Indefinite and definite

An indefinite integral is a family of antiderivatives F(x) + C. A definite integral from a to b is the signed area, F(b) − F(a), when an antiderivative exists (fundamental theorem of calculus).

Use sin(x), e^x, sqrt(x), 1/x, polynomials. Leave From/To blank for + C. Fill both for a number. If there is no elementary antiderivative, a Simpson numerical estimate is shown when the bounds are finite.

What this is not

The old page embedded Mathway. This one runs a computer-algebra library locally. It will not write a full substitution table like a tutor, and some integrals have no closed form in elementary functions.

FAQ

Why is this not Mathway?

The old page embedded another site. This calculator runs in your browser.

Will every integral close?

No. Try definite numerical bounds or rewrite the expression.

Argument order for definite integrals?

Lower bound, upper bound, then the variable.

Is the expression uploaded?

No.
